Advocacy has become an increasingly important strategy that helps nonprofits to meet their missions. Fundraising: Approaching Funders for Supporting Advocacy is part of a series of workshops designed to prepare nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers to engage in public policy debates at the state and local levels.

This training will feature a panel of funders who will share efficient and successful methods for approaching funders to support your advocacy efforts for both short- and long-term activities. Presenters include DeDe Esque from the Nokomis Foundation and Marcia Rapp from the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.

Fundraising: Approaching Funders for Supporting Advocacy will take place on May 20, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Kent/MSU Extension office, located at 775 Ball Avenue NE in Grand Rapids. The registration deadline is May 13, and the cost to attend is $25. Register online today.
