Analysis of Economic Stimulus Plan

To promote better understanding about the interaction between the nonprofit sector and our nation's economic recovery, including the recently-enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA) is sharing a number of summaries on the Act that can help you assess the content of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and whether your organization may qualify to apply for stimulus funds.

Three summaries on the economic recovery plan are available for download:

1. Nonprofit Grant Opportunities, a special report from the National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) summarizing the provisions of the economic stimulus package and how those dollars could be channeled to nonprofits.
2. Grant Application Information, Tips, and Thoughts, also from NCN.
3. Estimated Allocations of Federal Stimulus Dollars in Michigan based on available data. This summary was compiled by the Michigan League for Human Services.

MNA will continue to provide information on the economic stimulus dollars as more details become available.
