Register Now for May 18 Workshop on Strategic Messaging

Advocacy is a critical component of effective nonprofit leadership. In today's economy of dwindling state resources and decreasing charitable donations, knowing how to effectively communicate the work of your nonprofit and the critical difference it is making in your community is of paramount importance. Here at MNA, we understand how important messaging is to the sustainability of every nonprofit. That is why we are offering this upcoming training on Developing and Delivering Effective Messages.

Messages for internal audiences, opinion shapers and the media, and elected officials and their staff are all important components of nonprofit advocacy. An effective messaging campaign may be the difference between sustained funding and the elimination of critical programs. On Monday, May 18, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit (3111 Grand River Ave., Detroit), MNA and Decus Communications will present a workshop on Developing and Delivering Effective Messages. This session will focus on framing and developing key messages, identifying target audiences, and selecting communication modes that reach audiences in a timely and persuasive manner. Presenter: Mark Gilman, President, Decus Communications.

Register here. The cost to attend is $25 for MNA member and $35 for non-MNA members. The registration deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.
