The Fiscal Officer reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for managing all fiscal functions of the Michigan Humanities Council. These functions include financial systems and budgeting to ensure all funds are properly monitored and accounted for, annual audit processes, payroll and employee benefits functions, as well as general bookkeeping and accounting operations. The Fiscal Officer ensures compliance with all federal and state policies and regulations, and ensures the Council&amp;rsquo;s compliance with the financial reporting requirements for grants received from the National Endowment for the Humanities and other entities. The Fiscal Officer is a critical part of the Council&amp;rsquo;s team, participating in the day-to-day operations of the organization, assisting in the design and implementation of programs, and contributing to its success in delivering high-quality cultural programming. &lt;br /&gt;

      <title>Family Literacy Coordinator (Inkster)</title>

He/she will work in collaboration with community partners and other departments within Starfish Family Services to develop and deliver a variety of direct-parent, direct child, and parent-and-child together programs, services and activities aimed to promote language and cognitive development and general communication skills of children birth to age 5. &lt;br /&gt;

Education and Experience Required: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Bachelor&amp;rsquo;s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related education field. Master&amp;rsquo;s degree preferred. &lt;br /&gt;
2. At least two years of experience as a parent educator and/or early childhood professional development facilitator is strongly preferred.&lt;br /&gt;
3. Experience developing and implementing family literacy and/or early childhood language and literacy programs and activities preferred.&lt;br /&gt;

Requirements:&lt;br /&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;A degree in accounting/finance, and an understanding of GAAP as well as Non-profit and fund accounting&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Must be detail oriented and organized, with the ability to handle a large number of tasks simultaneously&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;At least 10 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience, or equivalent&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Experience with Blackbaud/Financial Edge preferred&lt;/li&gt;

The Family Services Coordinator will:&lt;br /&gt;
o Work with other program staff members to provide guidance and information to grieving families and others&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
o Conduct family informational meetings and intake sessions o Oversee assigned support group program sessions, including supervising volunteers and clinicians o Assist with projects, make presentations on behalf of Ele's Place, maintain records, and perform other responsibilities as needed &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A minimum of LLMSW, LLP or LPC certification is required.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ideal candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good computer skills.  Adult and child group experience, knowledge of grief issues and community resources required. Previous experience working with volunteers is very helpful. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ideal candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule.&lt;br /&gt;
