GreetingsIt is often difficult to remember our idealistic mission when we are struggling with day-to-day crises, but we all need to keep coming back to sustaining our mission. You are invited to participate in the first annual Michigan Nonprofit SuperConference. Return to that focus on the idealism that sustains us personally and the skills that allow us to be successful in an ever more competitive environment. Our conference theme is “Sustaining Mission.” Our focus is on providing a forum for learning about techniques, strategies, resources and partners that can help Michigan’s nonprofits accomplish their missions to serve our communities. The Michigan Nonprofit SuperConference combines the elements that have made the Grantmakers-Grantseekers Conference and the Volunteerism SuperConference an important resource to nonprofit leaders for many years. We will come together June 14 and 15, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn for two days of learning, networking and renewal with over 600 nonprofit leaders. We have partnered with the Council of Michigan Foundations to create a stimulating and informative morning of interaction with grantmakers on June 14. The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Detroit Chapter, has added their Professional Advancement Day as a pre-conference event on June 13. Look at the tracks of workshops; consider the opportunities to interact with foundation representatives; reflect on the line-up of national and local speakers; consider the opportunities to learn about new resources to support your work; think about the chances to network with peers from throughout Michigan; and act now to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. We know that you will agree that this is an opportunity well worth your valuable time and limited financial resources. Given the depth of up to ten workshops per time block, consider bringing a team, including leaders of your governing body and staff you are grooming for future leadership roles. We look forward to seeing you in Dearborn. Sincerely,
|
