Michigan Participation Project

The Michigan Participation Project will expand the role of Michigan nonprofits in voting and elections. The Michigan Participation Project will provide Michigan charities with the resources and support necessary to begin incorporating voter engagement and voter participation efforts into their work. The Michigan Participation Project is an initiative of the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA), in collaboration with the National Voter Engagement Network.

The objectives of the Michigan Participation Project are to:

1. Create a sustainable voter engagement initiative in Michigan;
2. Increase the number and impact of 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that participate in nonpartisan voter engagement and voter participation efforts; and
3. Achieve an increase in voter participation among traditionally underrepresented voters.
