Supervisor: Program Director, Mentor Michigan College Coaching Corps
Location: Lansing, MI
Purpose: The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the program staff of the Mentor Michigan College Coaching Corps and coordinating the logistical aspects of the AmeriCorps grant requirements.
Duties:
- Support the dissemination of recruitment materials of AmeriCorps members and Host Sites.
- Schedule regular conference calls and webinars with site supervisors and AmeriCorps members.
- Collect information from AmeriCorps members and Host Sites for mandatory reporting.
- Coordinate logistics for AmeriCorps member training events and Host Site visits.
- Maintain member files and other documentation; resourcing and assisting AmeriCorps members.
- Coordinate member enrollment and exiting.
- Ensure timely submission of member timesheets.
- Contribute to the overall missions of Mentor Michigan and Michigan Campus Compact to support service in Michigan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Role: No
Exempt or Non-Exempt: This position is classified as exempt, and does not receive overtime pay compensation.
This is a grant-funded, full-time position.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
Desired Skills:
• Two years of experience working in a professional office environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work and communicate in a team environment
• Proficient with technology, specifically the Microsoft Office suite
• Previous experience with data management systems, such as Egrants, OnCorps or other similar systems
• Knowledge of higher education institutions, youth mentoring organizations, and National Service programs
