Renee Miller Zientek
Renee worked for the University of Michigan-Flint for a total of 10 years. She served as a Director of Service-Learning and School Partnerships from 1994-1999 and was the founder of the first service-learning program on that campus. She was awarded of the UM-Flint Staff Recognition Award and has been a nominee for an Athena Award of the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce. Other professional positions held by Renee include, Director of Health and Fitness for the YWCA of Greater Flint and Budget Analyst for the Cadillac Luxury Car Division.
Since 2005, Renee has served as a director, executive director, and assistant vice chancellor for various units including Institutional Advancement, University Outreach, Alumni Relations, University Special Events, and Corporate and Foundation Relations. Raising funds for engagement work and supporting faculty, staff, and students through multiple programs, projects, and initiatives have advanced the University of Michigan-Flint’s mission of being an engaged campus. Renee has and has provided leadership to the Flint River Corridor Alliance, Keep Genesee County Beautiful, City of Flint, Community Foundation, and several other key mid-Michigan partners.
Renee is an UM-Flint Alum and a Flint native.
