Position Description (include how to apply):

The Director, Capuchin Soup Kitchen Programs and Hospitality is responsible to oversee, assess and provide leadership based in our mission, vision and values for the various programs and related managers and staff at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate, exemplify and support the Capuchin Charism and Provincial Mission, Vision and Values throughout all professional responsibilities and activities
  • Evaluate and ensure efficient and effective delivery of programs while keeping within policy, sustainable scope of services, mission and budgetary parameters
  • Evaluate, guide, and provide support for program managers
  • Ensure volunteers are treated professionally and with hospitality.
  • Collaborate with the Ministry Director, Development Office, and program managers to promote our mission and maintain positive relations with donors
  • Work with staff and program managers at each location to ensure maintenance of buildings, vehicles and equipment
  • Work with Province and Capuchin Soup Kitchen leadership to develop and implement/maintain policies and practices
  • At the request of the Ministry Director, participate in the assessment of new or additional funding opportunities.
  • Responsible for staff development, ensuring it is equitable, necessary and complies with Province policies
  • Network internally and with other community service providers to identify service gaps and prevent duplication of services and to keep services within sustainable parameters

Qualifications: 

  • Masters in Social Work, Education or related field.
  • Min. 5 yrs program and employee mgt exp. within education, health/human services or related fields.
  • Exp. in behavioral health, poverty alleviation/safety net services and/or prevention services.
  • Able to conduct data analysis to identify, communicate and generalize patterns and trends for program evaluation and strategic planning.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
