Pediatric Fundraising Specialist

TITLE: Pediatric Fundraising Specialist


GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Pediatric Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for supporting pediatric initiatives,
programs, events and campaigns at Hurley Foundation based on the needs and discretion of
program leadership. This position is full time (40 hours/week) and will primarily focus on the
tasks and goals outlined below. The nature of this position requires episodes of
evening/weekend hours.


SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the general supervision of the Pediatric Programs & Development Director.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Manage high performing corporate partner profiles which require year-round
stewardship and activations both virtual and in-person
2. Assist with overall planning and procurement of sponsorships for pediatric campaigns
and events
3. Attend all assigned meetings with key pediatric stakeholders at Hurley Foundation /
Hurley Children’s Hospital
4. Conduct private tours of Hurley Medical Center for donors/partners and present to
community groups upon request
5. Suggest new stewardship approaches and creative ways to expand fundraising through
communications with existing donor base as well as new donor/participant acquisition
6. Collaborate with Foundation staff members to support the needs of pediatric programs
and initiatives with respect to competing priorities and deadlines
7. Work in tandem with relevant colleagues in pediatric development to prepare monthly
content briefs and share with Hurley Medical Center marketing to ensure alignment with
brand messaging
8. Develop mass communication plans which utilize email, custom peer-to-peer platforms,
and social media to support Hurley Foundation annual strategies and goals for pediatric
fundraising
9. Assist with the creation of infographics and custom fliers utilized for fundraising events,
campaigns and internal promotion of development programs at the request of partners
and leadership
10. Assist with the input of pediatric constituent information relevant to gift reports and
analyze fundraising and campaign data output
11. Maintain active presence in social spaces digital and otherwise to interact with and
steward participants of peer to peer and applicable fundraising
12. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at Hurley Children’s Hospital
regarding pediatric development programs, events and Foundation initiatives
13. Maintain a presence in local communities through participation in service clubs, civic
organizations or chamber activities

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
● Minimum 2 years experience in a healthcare, community engagement and/or
development role
● Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel and Canva Design Suite
● Excellent Communication and Writing Skills
● Experience working with students, young children or families is preferred
● Solid understanding of social platforms ie: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
● Willingness to learn and utilize platforms like Twitch and/or Discord
● Must have reliable transportation
