MNA Launches TikTok Account
To connect with new audiences in an engaging way, MNA launched a TikTok account with astonishing results.
Chief Communications Officer Tammy Pitts started MNA’s TikTok account in the fall of 2022. She remembers it this way, “People thought I was nuts. They were like, ‘Are you gonna do skits? Are you gonna do the trending voices and videos?’ No! But there is a way for a nonprofit to be successful on TikTok. We put out great content, and that’s the secret sauce.”
So far, MNA's posts have garnered over 7,000 likes with a community of 100+ followers including other Michigan nonprofits. Our videos get upwards of 11,000 impressions meaning that even if someone didn’t give it a heart, they stopped and watched our video," Pitts said.
But occasionally, the content has received a lot of attention, “Our CEO Kelley Kuhn had 35,000 likes on one of her videos. You just never know what's going to go viral on TikTok.” You can follow MNA’s TikTok account here.
