LANSING, Mich. — Nonprofit organizations from across the state will attend Legislative Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Mackinac Room at the House Office Building in Lansing. This year’s program will feature Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel who will discuss the state’s plans for safeguarding Michigan’s census from disinformation campaigns and cybersecurity threats.
“The work nonprofits and philanthropy support and do is incredibly important to the communities in which we live and work,” said Donna Murray-Brown, President and CEO of Michigan Nonprofit Association. “A lot is at stake for Michigan this year with Census 2020, which is why obtaining a complete count of all Michigan residents, including historically undercounted populations, is essential to ensuring the future well-being of Michigan and all who live here.”

A networking lunch will take place with Michigan state department and agency leaders following the formal program Attendees will then spend the afternoon meeting with their legislators.
