Today, we kick off Black History Month, a period in which we celebrate the impact of our Black-led nonprofit partners and the contributions and culture of Black Americans who have shaped history.
We are proud of the many Black women who are boldly leading nonprofits in Michigan and making a difference including Donna Murray-Brown, president and CEO of Michigan Nonprofit Association, Allandra Bulger, executive director at Co.act Detroit, Shamyle Dobbs, CEO of Michigan Community Resources and Yodit Mesfin Johnson, president and CEO of Nonprofit Enterprise at Work.
As we honor the contributions Black Americans have made to the fabric of our state and our nation, we have made it a priority at Michigan Nonprofit Association to continue the fight for racial equity and justice.
