In-Person Conferences and Fundraising Events Come Roaring Back

In an article published on philanthropy.com, author Dan Parks writes about the return of live, in-person events and conferences in 2022.

Many factors play into this return to in-person formats, including people’s need to regain some form of “normalcy” as the COVID-19 pandemic begins to wind down.

While nonprofits are still concerned and taking precautions, there is a dramatic shift to focus on in-person events only, in many cases, forgoing the pandemic-era hybrid meet-ups.

Kelley Kuhn, CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association, was quoted in the article, “People are still excited about the work, and they miss the in-person interaction.”

Kuhn further stated the in-person events she’s seeing so far have all been indoors. However, she expects some organizations to take advantage of the upcoming warmer months to hold outdoor events.
