Michigan nonprofit relief fund proposal gaining traction in Lansing

Nonprofit relief funding is needed to support nonprofits still struggling to raise operating dollars amid continued increases in demand.

"There's been a lot of relief for small business, and rightfully so. But nonprofits have continued to work through the pandemic...and there hasn't been dedicated programs and funding for them," said Joan Gustafson, external affairs officer for MNA.

"We know as we are looking at the impacts of the pandemic, the economy cannot recover unless the nonprofit sector is strong,” President and CEO Kelley Kuhn said.
