Michigan nonprofits are faced with greater demands and higher costs due to the pandemic. To fill in the gap, the state has created a $35 million grant program for small nonprofits.
The 2023 state budget includes $50 million in relief funding for Michigan’s nonprofit sector.
The first phase, Michigan Nonprofit Relief Fund, will distribute $35 million to nonprofits that have an annual revenue of $1 million or less. The “intent to apply” phase has officially opened for eligible nonprofits.
