LANSING- Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer has officially declared August 14-18 as Charitable Nonprofit Week, a significant tribute to the remarkable efforts of over 50,000 nonprofit organizations across the state. This proclamation highlights the invaluable contributions of Michigan’s nonprofits, which have tirelessly served communities and individuals during times of need.
The declaration is a testament to the dedication, compassion, and impact that nonprofit organizations have exhibited, especially during the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic. By designating this week as Charitable Nonprofit Week, the state of Michigan underscores the importance of supporting nonprofits that have been instrumental in addressing a wide range of critical issues, from healthcare and education to food security, housing, and social welfare.
