Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute fundraising activities focused on individual attorneys, sole practitioners, and affinity groups throughout Michigan.
  • Sustain meaningful relationships with current donors and identify and build relationships with new donors.
  • Support ATJ volunteer committee members and ambassadors to help identify, inform, and actively seek gifts in appropriate peer-to-peer requests and workplace giving campaigns.
  • Prepare and oversee logistics for fundraising awareness events and presentations. Develop cost-effective ways to recognize and steward donors to strengthen their commitment and increase the level of their investments.
  • Work with Communications Manager to develop and ensure compelling ATJ campaign materials, donor communications and recognition opportunities for social media, website, and ATJ Campaign and Annual Reports.
  • Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

    Education, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree or certification is preferred.
    • Four or more years of relevant successful experience in development and fundraising in a nonprofit organization, or equivalent leadership experience in the nonprofit or business sector.
    • Demonstrated experience in nurturing, managing, and growing a fundraising campaign.
    • Experience organizing, motivating, managing, coaching, and directing volunteers and board members.
    • Strong experience in use and management of Raiser’s Edge or similar donor management software.
    • Excellent oral and writing skills, including effective public speaking abilities and the ability to write concise proposals, reports, and articles for a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
    • Interest and available for in-state travel meetings with donors and prospective donors.

      Additional Information

      Compensation and Benefits: $75,000 - $80,000. Excellent fringe benefits.
