Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Translate financial data into actionable insights that guide organizational strategy and sustainability.
  • Daily Oversight: Monitor cash flow, grant fund balances, and budget variances to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to GAAP, IRS regulations, and grant compliance standards.
  • Contract & Invoice Management: Approve financial transactions in alignment with mission and strategic goals.
  • Program Support: Analyze financial feasibility of program expansions and provide insights on organizational stability.

What You Bring

  • Expertise in nonprofit accounting, including fund management and grant reporting.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP for nonprofits, IRS Form 990, and federal/state compliance.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Familiarity with tools like Blackbaud, QuickBooks Nonprofit, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven mindset with the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • 10+ Years' experience in financial management with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • CPA Preferred.
  • Master's preferred, Bachelor's required in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
