Judson Center is a non-profit human service agency that provides compassionate,
comprehensive services to children and families throughout southeast Michigan.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Grants Manager will be responsible for researching and applying for grants from various sources, maintaining relationships with local foundation contacts, and ensuring the accurate and timely management of grant finances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write grant proposals and applications for foundation and corporate support.
  • Conduct thorough research on potential grants, including state, federal, and individual opportunities.
  • Developing time lines for grant submission and reviewing grant submission guidelines
  • Oversee grant management processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local foundation contacts to enhance collaboration and support.
  • Steward sponsor relationships throughout the application and grant period.
  • Work closely with Chief Operating Officers, Program Directors, and Finance staff to strategically apply for programmatic support.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of a contract grant writing team.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the grant writing team to ensure the highest quality of grant applications.
  • Ensure compliance with award terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information for grant reporting.
  • Achieve annual grant funding targets.
