Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, produce, and manage annual awards programs, board and committee recruitment, and delegate activities at national conferences.
  • Coordinate Legislative Receptions, Family Medicine Advocacy Day, Annual Member Meeting, and other signature events.
  • Assist with the Family Medicine Conference & Expo and related programming.
  • Support membership initiatives and collaborate with the CEO to schedule meetings and host events with legislators and officials.
  • Provide proofreading, editing, and formatting support to staff as needed.
  • Provide staff support and coordinate communications for the MAFP Advocacy and Practice Management Committees, including preparing minutes, scheduling meetings, and distributing materials.
  • Manage assigned sections of the MAFP website.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in program management, event planning, or related field.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with website management and committee support is a plus.
