TITLE:
Pediatric Programs & Development Director -- EXEMPT
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Director of Pediatric Programs & Development will be responsible for overseeing pediatric programs and fundraising at Hurley Foundation. Managing the development of 30+ corporate partner profiles, national programs, campaigns, community supporters and other Foundation strategic initiatives. This position is full time (40 hours/week) and will primarily focus on the tasks and goals outlined below. The nature of this position requires episodes of evening/weekend hours.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the general direction of the Hurley Foundation President in collaboration with the Hurley Foundation Senior Managing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manage high performing corporate partner profiles including CMN stewardship.
- Align department goals to prioritize year-round engagement with top partners, and participants of peer-to-peer programs.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with community members through participation in networking events, service clubs, civic organizations or chamber activities in Hurley Foundation’s established pediatric fundraising territory.
- Serve as main point of contact for community inquiries and third party events benefiting pediatric programs and initiatives at Hurley Foundation.
- Develop goals and objectives alongside senior leadership to support institutional strategic direction.
- Participate in regularly scheduled Foundation staff meetings and host cross-department meetings with key stakeholders at Hurley Children's Hospital.
- Analyze, maintain and assist with the input of gift information relevant to pediatric donation reports.
- Complete all necessary pediatric donation and impact reporting with respect to agreed upon deadlines.
- Formulate, recommend, and implement policies, procedures, and systems necessary for the continuation of quality development in pediatric spaces.
- Participate in development of departmental budget; perform ongoing budgetary monitoring to ensure operational expenditures are within guidelines.
- Work hand in hand with Database Manager to ensure constituent record information is accurate and communicate reporting needs appropriately, with respect to overall operations and competing priorities.
- Assist with day to day operations including but not limited to event support, managing peer-to-peer fundraising pages, and donor relationships.
- Attend routine senior leadership meetings with the Hurley Foundation President and/or Senior Managing Director.
- Develop and oversee external communications strategy for pediatric fundraising through the use of email, peer-to-peer platforms, and social media.
- Develop and maintain relationships with pediatric patient families and identify patient ambassadors who can assist with executing the Hurley Foundation mission in support of Hurley Children’s Hospital.
- Work in conjunction with appropriate colleagues and partners to create content which supports Hurley Foundation programs and initiatives, with emphasis on pediatrics.
- Acutely manage competing deadlines and demands of Foundation staff, partners, programs and community supporters.
- Present a professional image of oneself, Hurley Foundation, and Hurley Children’s Hospital in the course of day-to-day interactions and engagements.
- Discern appropriateness of data driven decision making when presented with competing priorities which require immediate attention and have long-term impact.
- Stay abreast of new stewardship approaches and creative ways to expand fundraising through communications with existing donor base as well as new CMN donor/participant acquisition.
- Conduct private tours of Hurley Medical Center for donors/partners and present to community groups upon request.
- Performs other related duties as required. Utilizes new improvements and/or technology that relate to job assignment.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5+ years related non-profit experience
- Excellent Communication and Writing Skills
- Proven record of leading successful fundraising campaigns
- Demonstrated experience in: public speaking, prospecting programs for philanthropic growth, and mass media communications
- Advanced knowledge of: Google Workspace, Excel, Canva Design Suite, and Social networks ie: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Preferred experience with: applying for grant funding, Twitch Streaming and/or Discord Communication Tool, and coordinating students, young children or families
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to lift 20lbs
