The SOURCE is a non-profit organization headquartered in West Michigan that works with employees of member companies to connect and maximize community resources. We focus on reducing barriers to employment and promoting economic security and career progression.  The Source is expanding its services to Southeast Michigan and is looking for a resource navigator to support employees.  

**This role is currently hybrid, based in Southeast Michigan, primarily serving Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties. Currently working within a Detroit co-working space, with the goal of establishing a physical office in Southeast Michigan within a year. This is subject to change based on future needs.  

Job Responsibilities:  

● Provide high-touch, individualized case management through consistent communication, ongoing follow-up, and coordinated support to help clients make progress toward their goals.

● Initiate confidential and timely client intake to ensure a positive client experience.

● Listen to and problem solve barriers for clients by identifying available benefits, programs and resources to ensure economic security.  

● Work with employers onsite to encourage and promote the use of navigation services.  

● Present on the benefits of The SOURCE to groups of stakeholders through company meetings, new hire orientations and other opportunities in the community.  

● Act as employer lead, focusing on maintaining a strong business relationship with assigned member companies.  

● Utilize client database to track case quality and utilization of services to ensure a return on investment for companies.  

● Research and stay up to date on the available community resources to meet client needs.

● Communicate the benefits of the SOURCE to both employers, employees and community stakeholders to promote the growth of the organization.  

● Identify and communicate opportunities to improve the navigation processes to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.

● Engage other internal resource navigators to promote teamwork and collaboration.

● Work with other resource navigators to identify customized solutions for clients.  

● Any other duties as described by the supervisor. 

Minimum Education/Experience and Competency Requirement:

 ● 2+ years relevant experience providing case management, resource navigation, or direct client support ● A Bachelor’s degree in communications, sociology, psychology, nonprofit/public administration, or a related field is preferred; however, relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.  

● Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Google sites and Internet.  

● Strong empathy skills, experience problem solving complex issues, ability to communicate across many stakeholder groups.  

● Excellent ability to work on multiple cases at a time, prioritize, organize and work with a degree of ambiguity.  

● Weekly short-distance travel via personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) to member companies and/or community engagement. Insurable driving record required.  

● Bi-lingual is preferred  

● Ability to perform the role with or without a reasonable accommodation.  

Details and Compensation:  

● Starting salary $51,000 year, commensurate with experience.
