Responsibilities

Program and Operations Management

● Oversee the daily operations of the training café, coffee bar, and retail program, ensuring high standards of quality, service, education, and safety.

● Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of vocational training programs and apprenticeships, ensuring they align with industry standards/accreditation requirements, and the needs of our student/apprentice population.

● Manage and coordinate staff and volunteer scheduling, training, and supervision across all operational areas.

● Ensure a supportive, inclusive, and empowering learning and working environment for all students/apprentices and staff.

● Monitor and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment for the café and retail training facilities. Leadership and Administration

● Serve as a liaison with community partners, funding organizations, and regulatory bodies.

● Contribute to fundraising and grant writing efforts by providing program data, success stories, and operational insights.

● Support the development and maintenance of organizational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

● Represent Torch 180 at public events, meetings, and conferences as needed.

Human Resources and Student Support

● Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of staff.

● Coordinate with staff to ensure that students/apprentices receive personalized support and soft-skills training necessary for meaningful employment.

● Oversee the maintenance of accurate and confidential student and program records .
