The successful candidate will have experience growing a comprehensive development program as well as proven track record in capital campaign and major and planned gifts programs. Experience in annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, special events and stewardship are also highly desirable in the successful candidate.
The Vice President of Philanthropy will serve as a member of the organization’s leadership team and work closely with CEO and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will be decisive, visionary, strategic, a relationship builder, results oriented and exceed in a fast-paced environment. As a member of the leadership team, this individual must support, embrace and possess a passion for the work of the organization, helping Girl Scouts discover their passions, connect with their communities and take action to make the world a better place. No prior experience with Girl Scouts is required. As a leader in the department, the Vice President of Philanthropy will lead and grow a team, display excellent oral and written communication skills, engage in critical thinking and problem solving and able to pay keen attention to details while managing goals and objectives without supervision.
