Gift Fund Program Coordinator / Development Analyst

Michigan State University Advancement is hiring a Gift Fund Program Coordinator to join our Advancement Services team in East Lansing!

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and purpose to complex work. In this role, you will help ensure philanthropic resources are used effectively, thoughtfully, and in alignment with donor intent, university policy, and campus needs. The Gift Fund Program Coordinator will serve as a strategic liaison between Donor Services and campus units, helping identify underutilized gift funds and building processes that move those resources into meaningful support for students, faculty, programs, and university priorities. This position will help develop tools, reporting processes, fund health scorecards, and guidance that support campus partners in making the best use of donor-funded resources. This role is a strong fit for someone with excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and an interest in higher education, philanthropy, donor services, operations, or fund administration. Experience with reporting, databases, spreadsheets, confidential information, legal or contractual documents, endowment management, or nonprofit/higher education operations would be helpful. This position plays an important role in ensuring every donor dollar is spent and spent well.
