The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program was established by the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act, and amended by the American Rescue Plan Act. The program includes over $16 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance.

May 26, 2021 Update On May 26, the SBA began sending notices of award to approved Shuttered Venues Operators Grant applicants and will ramp up the rate of notifications in the coming days. As the review process is manual, the SBA's team continues to work through the more than 13,000 SVOG applications received and coordinate verification with other federal agencies to mitigate fraud and follow federal grant rules and regulations. For those who have submitted their applications, the SBA anticipates SVOGs awards will start in late May, so continue monitoring the email account associated with your application. All application status changes will be communicated through email.
