The MNA Member Health Plan was created in response to what nonprofit organizations have been asking for over many years, which is better, more affordable health plan options that help them attract and keep great staff. By bringing organizations together, the plan helps increase buying power and reduce some of the administrative complexity that often comes with offering benefits. It is designed specifically for mission-driven groups, with the goal of lowering costs while also supporting long-term stability so organizations can stay focused on the work that matters most.

MNA is proud to work with Gallagher to manage our plans and enrollment for our members. If you're interested in learning more, including what rates might look like for your organization, you'll work directly with a member of Gallagher's team. They'll help you evaluate your options and make sure you're getting the most out of your investment in health benefits.

The plan works with a trusted Michigan-based partner, Priority Health, which brings a strong network and deep local experience, offering strong, reliable coverage.

Yes, you do need to be a 501(c)(3) to take part in the health care pool.

Each organization in the MNA Member Health Plan is rated individually by Priority Health, so rates will vary based on factors like demographics, enrollment, and the plan you choose. With 17 different plan options, ranging from basic to more comprehensive coverage, pricing is tailored to fit each organization rather than a single standard rate.

Once we receive everything we need from your organization - like the signed ROI form and employee census - Priority Health’s underwriting team can usually have your rates ready in about 10 business days.

Any nonprofit - MNA member or not - may request information from Gallagher about the plans. To receive a rate quote and to participate in the MNA Member Health Plan, however, an organization must be an member of MNA. .

No, membership and health plan costs are separate. Membership gives you access to the plan, but pricing for coverage is determined independently.
