The Michigan Nonprofit Relief Fund was a program that provided financial assistance to nonprofit organizations in Michigan that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Its purpose was to help these nonprofits maintain operations and continue serving their communities during a time of financial hardship.
Expansion of Michigan's Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) - Passed into law in March, 2023
This tax credit was expanded to help working families with low income and children, to 30 percent of the federal EITC. It will provide significant tax relief for working families with lower incomes and will inject an additional $460 million into the state's economy annually, increasing employment, expanding local economies, and aiding small businesses.
