In 2023, MNA Tech helped revitalize nonprofit operations with streamlined technology solutions and expert training for a post-pandemic world.
MNA provides technology assessments, support, and more to nonprofits looking to upgrade and maximize their systems. Coming out of the pandemic, the MNA Tech team built an online form that nonprofits can use to request an assessment and help with streamlining communication. The number one tech improvement that MNA provides? Helping transition to cloud-based systems to support remote teams. Number two? Training teams to maximize their use of existing tools.
“Nonprofits typically work on one of two main platforms, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Post-pandemic, everyone is more remote, and so transitioning to these cloud-based tools is what facilitates remote work,” said MNA Technology Director Adam King. “Through training, we make sure everyone is on the same page when using these tools. We try to make it a seamless transition to accessing (cloud-based) files and communicating with your team.”
In partnership with the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, MNA helped the Lansing Area Aids Network to modernize its technology last year. One of the easiest upgrades was purchasing new computers. Says King, “It's worth it to invest in stable and secure equipment that's going to perform at a high level for a long time. Buying tech that’s on sale isn’t necessarily the right way to go.”
In addition to cloud migration projects, technology planning and training, MNA Tech provides security coverage through the Security+ program and offers monthly Tech Care plans for broad coverage and support.
