Hundreds of Michigan nonprofits to gather for Nonprofit Day at the Capitol
House Speaker Joe Tate and Senate Majority Leader Brinks to headline the event
WHAT:
Hundreds of Michigan nonprofits will gather at Michigan’s Capitol for the Michigan Nonprofit Association's annual Nonprofit Day at the Capitol, featuring Keynote Speaker Michigan House Speaker Joe Tate and Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks. During the day, MNA will host conversations with Michigan’s policy makers and 501c3s, including MI Nonprofit Relief Fund recipients, to discuss the important role that nonprofits played during and now post-pandemic.
To celebrate the economic and inspiring contributions of nonprofits in Michigan, MNA launched its 'We Are 501 c 3' campaign in November 2023, shining a spotlight on the resilience and vital contributions of nonprofits statewide, including some of the more than 1,480 MI Nonprofit Relief Fund recipients.
Representatives from MNA, recipients of the MI Nonprofit Relief Fund, and legislative leaders will be on hand throughout the day for interviews.
