General Statement of Duties:
The Individual Giving Manager is a key member of the Belle Isle Conservancy Development team, responsible for developing and executing individual giving strategy and overseeing day-to-day operations that strengthen donor engagement, retention, and long-term support for Belle Isle.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise the Development Coordinator’s gift processing activities and workflow
• Oversee the Development Department’s CRM tool (Bloomerang)
• Analyze donor data to develop and implement cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation strategies for individual giving programs (annual, mid-level, planned)
• Create personalized strategies for connecting and communicating with prospective and current annual,
• Manage the development of donor communications and collateral including annual or special appeals, donor newsletters, and fundraising focused social media
• Develop and implement donor re-engagement initiatives for lapsed donors and coordinate stewardship and recognition activities with focus on donor retention and increased giving
• Track and analyze data to regularly compile reports (verbal and written) to communicate results for key
individual giving metrics including donor retention, growth, average gift size and pipeline movement.
• Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure accurate representation of contributed revenue in
monthly financial reports
• Work in conjunction with the BIC Staff to plan and implement promotions and events to attract, cultivate and steward donors
• Oversee individual annual sponsorship program for Fish Habitats in the Belle Isle Aquarium
• Serve as the Conservancy’s primary liaison implementing new Planned Giving Suite platform with Freewill including collaborating with the Freewill team on strategies and implementation for the communications and website rollout
• Assist in the cultivation and solicitation strategies for capital campaigns and other initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High-level communication skills and ability to work and communicate in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize work across multiple projects and departments
• The ability to evaluate and interpret donor data and giving trends
• Computer literacy required, including Google and Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced working knowledge of CRM tools
• Highly organized, able to work and supervise under pressure from deadlines and multiple priorities
• Able to work in-person onsite (Belle Isle) Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
Education, Training & Experience:
• 3 – 5 years fundraising experience, preferably in an area of individual giving
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Supervisory experience preferred
Supervision Required:
Performs duties under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer
