Lead of Strategic Partnerships Position Overview:

A high-impact, outward-facing, revenue-generating leadership role serving as Inforum's primary relationship builder. This position is designed for a consultative business developer who can move comfortably between community stakeholders and corporate executive suites to convert conversations into sustainable revenue, corporate sponsorships, and strategic institutional growth. The ideal candidate excels at aligning strategic partner needs and community initiatives with all facets of Inforum’s professional development and leadership ecosystem.

Lead of Strategic Partnerships Responsibilities:

  • B2B Relationship Management: Prospect, pitch, and maintain relationships with current and target corporate partners, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand complex corporate employer workforce challenges and map them directly to Inforum’s leadership programs, corporate memberships, and talent solutions.
  • Pipeline Generation: Conduct continuous market discovery, source new partnership avenues, and coordinate with internal program success managers to ensure premium delivery on agreements.
  • External Representation: Serve as the visible, energetic ambassador for Inforum at networking events, corporate meetings, and professional associations.

Lead of Strategic Partnerships Key Accomplishments:

  • (Audit & Onboard): Complete a comprehensive evaluation and audit of all current corporate sponsor relationships to identify under-utilized accounts or immediate impact expansion opportunities.
  • (Launch & Standardize): Design, pilot, and launch a market expansion plan targeting unpenetrated sectors or industries.
  • (Scale & Systematize): Standardize the pitch-to-onboarding process for new corporate partners, establishing seamless internal workflows and handoffs to the Member Experience team.

Lead of Strategic Partnerships Key Measurables:

  • Primary Commercial Metric: Total dollar amount of earned and contributed revenue generated through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and renewals.
  • Velocity / Volume Metric: Baseline rate of net-new corporate partners onboarded annually,  along with a consistent volume of qualified meetings held with external corporate decision-makers.
  • Quality / Efficiency Metric: Percentage rate of existing corporate partners successfully renewed or expanded into higher-tier investments.

Lead of Strategic Partnerships Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, corporate relations, consultative B2B sales, or economic/workforce development.
  • Technical & Core Tool Competencies: Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Soft Skills & Executive Presence: Exceptional consultative sales acumen, strong cross-functional collaboration skills without direct authority, outstanding communication, and a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Education/Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; strong background balancing mission-driven objectives with commercial growth metrics.
